The Faithful Left is a Jewish stream of thought and action, one which sees our values of justice and compassion as inextricable from our religious obligations, and our religious traditions as a basis of the ethical society we strive to build. The Faithful Left works to advance justice and equality across Israel through our works of Jewish thought, educational programming, and on-the-ground activist work. Our publishing house, Makom, adds a new generation of voices  to a canon of hundreds of years of Jewish ethical writing. Our education sector ranges from Sadeh, which writes innovative curriculum for Israeli schools, to the Midrasha, a two-week intensive seminar teaching religious Jews about the Occupied Territories. Our activist arm, Bnei Avraham, supports Palestinian communities under settler threat and stands by them in their struggle to remain on their lands.

To learn more about the Midrasha and other public outreach  initiatives, head to our Movement Building section. To discover how our education sector is reshaping Israeli teaching and learning, explore our Education Sector. For the activism Bnei Avraham engages in daily, don’t miss our Taking Action page. If you’re curious how groundbreaking Jewish texts fit in with our mission, Grounding in Jewish Thought will tell you all about Makom, the Faithful Left’s publishing house.
